Dances we teach are all styles of Ballroom, Latin, Swing, and Country. These include: Bachata, Balboa, Bolero, Cha-Cha, Country 2-Step, Cumbia, East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Hustle, Latin Aerobics, Line Dancing, Mambo, Merengue, Night Club 2-Step, Paso Doble, Polka, Quickstep, Rumba, Salsa, Samba, Shag, Swing, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Waltz, Wedding, West Coast Swing.
Group Classes:
The most affordable way to learn a variey of dance styles, offered in 4-week series and on a walk-in basis.
Private Lessons:
Learn at your own pace, with your own instructor, and on your schedule.
Private Group Lessons:
Great for wedding parties, couples-night-out, and church groups.
Youth Ballroom:
Kids under 18 can learn partner dances too, in both Youth Group Classes and private lessons.
Latin Aerobics:
Get fit by dancing all your Latin favorites- Salsa, Cha-Cha, Merengue, Samba, and Bachata, without a partner! Walk-ins welcome.
Line Dancing:
Learn choreographed routines to fun music- another great way to get fit without a partner. Walk-ins welcome.
Wedding Dances:
If you've got an upcoming wedding, you'll love our combination class "Wedding Dances" offered on a walk-in basis, which includes Waltz, Rumba, and Swing- three dances that cover the most common tempos of music played at wedding dances. We can also choreograph a first dance for the wedding couple!

Did you know that Girl Scouts can earn a dance patch for learning a variety of dance styles from us at Tropical Ballroom?

We offer specialty dance instruction and dance parties for people with disabilities.

Practice Dance Parties:
Meet other dance students here at Tropical Ballroom to practice your new moves. We play non-stop music like our weekend dance parties, but our students may ask us for help on patterns they've learned from us.
Dance Parties:
Use your new dance skills and meet new friends when you attend our weekend dance parties with DJ'd music or Live Bands. Open to the public. Non-stop variety of music, themed either Ballroom, Latin, Swing, or Country.
Daytime Senior Dance Parties:
Active Adults enjoy coffee, cookies, and socializing in between dancing all their favorites- from polka and schottische, to waltz and foxtrot, to live bands.
Dance Shoes:
Tropical Ballroom is an Authorized Dealer of Very Fine Dancesport Shoes- customizable suede-sole shoes in the color, material, width, and heel height of your choice. (Otherwise, please carry in clean shoes for the dance floor).
Private Rental:
Birthday Parties, Anniversary Celebrations, Wedding Receptions! Use the licensed caterer of your choice for food and beverages. Accommodations for up to 150 people.
Offsite:
We also teach at Schools, Businesses, Senior Citizen Apartments, Wedding Receptions, Community Centers, Churches, Country Clubs, Restaurants, and also for Dance Clubs, High School Senior All-Night Parties, Galas, and Community Education.
Specialty Workshops:
Understanding How to Hear Music; Feet, Body, Frame, & Spins; Social Dance Floor Etiquette Tips; Hip Action, Leg & Knee Action, and more.
Showcase:
Perform a choreographed routine in front of your friends with your Dance Instructor, your own dance partner, or on our formation team. Spectator tickets include food, performances, and a dance party.
Competition:
Take your skills to the competition floor! Dress up, invite your fans, and find out what the judges think of you! Twin Cities Open dance competition is the 2nd weekend of July each year.
Portable Dance Floor Rental:
Need a dance floor offsite? Rent our portable snap-together dance floor. We will deliver, set up, and take down at your event.
